New Jersey Hardcore (NJHC) Shows This Weekend

March 3rd - 5th, PA, Clementon, Trenton, NJ

New Jersey hardcore is very much so alive, and more supportive than ever.  This upcoming weekend is stacked-to-a-T with sick shows and hard bands.

WRAITH, from Berlin, NJ, will be playing their second ever show this Friday, March 3rd.  They released their first singles this past January and have been gaining hype since.   The show, put on by Philly Hardcore Shows, will be held at Yorick and Son’s Moto (1864 Frankford Ave., Philadelphia, PA). The show also includes Problem of Pain (MI), Heaven’s Die (VA), Vatican (GA-XXX), and returning Energy (MA).  The show costs $10, is all ages, and starts at 6pm!  Make sure to get there early for NJ’s new addition to the hardcore scene, WRAITH!  Don’t sleep on them!

The next day, Saturday, March 4th, a benefit show for Steve Cinc will be held at Harper’s Pub in Clementon, NJ.  “Steve was recently diagnosed with Stage 3 Colorectal cancer. [He] is an outstanding person, who, much like others diagnosed with such a disease, does not deserve his current circumstance [...] Steve has always supported me, my band, my friend’s band, and the scene in general,” says his close friend, Tony, who booked the show in Steve’s behalf.  The show begins at 6pm, is all ages, and requires a $10 donation fee at the door.  There will be food, drinks (if you’re of age), as well as raffles.  The lineup for the night includes: Push, Manalive (New Brunswick, NJ), Tumescent (New York, NY), Threat 2 Society (NJ), Garland Greene (Clementon, NJ), Iron Price (Baltimore, MD), Rich People (Sicklerville, NJ) and a headliner that is still to be announced but is sure to be a big treat!

Closing out the weekend, this Sunday (March 5th), is a benefit show for the family of New Jersey Hardcore legend, who has, sadly, passed away last week, Jake Heaton.  No Nothing (PAHC), Gloves Off (PAHC), On Patrol (PAHC XXX), Vigilante (MAHC), Cemeteries (NJHC), and lastly, Bad Luck 13 Riot Extravaganza (PAHC) make up the full lineup for Sunday’s show at Championship Bar in Trenton, NJ.  The show costs $10 -- all proceeds will be going to the GoFundMe for Jake.  The show is all ages; 21+ to drink.  Anyone who has listened to Badluck 13 and has been to Champ’s, knows how good of a time this show will be -- and anyone who knew Jake Heaton knows that Badluck 13 was by far his favorite band, so there’s no other way to go about this show.  Come out, have a great time, and celebrate the life of one of the best dudes to ever be in the NJHC scene.
