On July 29th from 11am to 8pm, Soulsational Festival will be celebrating music and wellness for its 7th year at Veterans Park in Bayville, NJ. This free community event will feature "live music, local health and wellness businesses and practitioners, giveaways, a silent auction, and lots of opportunities to give back and unite the Jersey Shore community." One of the event's live music acts will be singer/songwriter DAVE MOONEY. Enjoy this interview with DAVE, below:

What's your name, where are you from, where are you based now, and what do you do?

My name is Dave Mooney. I’m a singer/songwriter from Spotswood, New Jersey, born and raised. As a way to supplement my income until I can really break in the music scene, I work as a high school English teacher.

What's your background? What would you like people to know about you & your work?

My music is a mix of old and new, heavily influenced by classic artists such as The Beatles and Billy Joel but also more modern artists such as Jack White and Arctic Monkeys.

How did you hear about Soulsational? What can we expect to see/hear at the festival, and what are you personally most looking forward to?

My media rep, Johnna Orrico, actually set me up with the Soulsational festival, and I had a great time last year, and I was fortunate to be asked back this year. This year, I will be performing an acoustic set, but I can be found throughout the area performing with my backing band, The Aztec Gypsy.
