Svetlana is “Astrud Gilberto via Moscow”, a Russian-born critically acclaimed American jazz vocalist. Her new record and concert program, Night at the Movies is Svetlana’s love affair with movies, and dreaming. The concert adapts Oscar-winning Songs from 1930s to today, taking listeners on a carnival of sound, from sultry introspective torch jazz vocals to a rowdy New Orleans inspired dance party.

Carrying over all the romance, passion and beautiful familiar melodies, while discovering unexpected gems and adding a new twist and high energy – the band is fronted by Svetlana’s captivating vocals and stage presence. Listeners will find themselves nodding along to familiar tunes - while also being thrilled by the twists, turns, and unexpected improvisational aspects of Svetlana’s exciting virtuoso band of young jazz lions. The show is accompanied by projected moving images inspired by the movies from which the songs are drawn.
