Hip Hop Artist IgnoVa Announces Release Date for Two Singles (Sept. 22, 2017)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

IgnoVa.jpg

NEW JERSEY, September 14, 2017 - New Jersey native IgnoVa, a rising hip hop musician, today announced his next two singles, 'Here We Go' and 'STD', will be released September 22, 2017.  This will mark the rapper's first multi-song release, having showcased his first single in February.  Both trap-inspired songs will be available on iTunes, Spotify, and international streaming services.

'Here We Go' is the first of Ignova's singles to be released on September 22nd. Highlighting down-tempo trap drums, 'Here We Go' tells of the trials of balancing relationships with music work.  “'Here We Go' expresses how regardless of one's demanding tasks and duties, this person still finds time for a significant other,” IgnoVa explains.

'STD', the second of IgnoVa's compositions being released the same date, incorporates an upbeat tempo and driving bass line.  Remarking on the single's theme, IgnoVa said, “'STD' showcases how the power of words and flow can garner enough energy to make an individual dance regardless of the situation at hand.”  An acronym for “Shake, Twerk, Drop”, 'STD' embraces modern party elements.

Previous to the September release date, IgnoVa has digitally distributed one single and two mixtapes.  Most recently, the rapper released 'Right Now', a danceable hip hop tune embodying braggadocio prototypical of rap history's most acclaimed idols.  Mixtapes 'EMU' and 'EMU 2' acted as dual music collections that set the stage for the musician's foray into the world of rap.  IgnoVa has also been featured on Thousand Times by electro-pop singer M.C. Pollock.

IgnoVa is an international hip hop artist who combines maintstream genres with an astounding, acute presentation of lyrics.  Known for his trademark K E E P positiveSpirit™ campaign, the young NJ native's mission is far from over.  More information can be found at www.keeppositivespirit.com.

Eryn has developed a reputation as one of the premier up and coming voices on the scene today. Originally from MD and now living in NJ, Eryn's style is heavily influenced by the musical traditions of the south.

Eryn's respect for the traditions of Jazz, Blues and Country fused with her modern Retropop style and brought together by her incredible vocal ability has been said to give even the most hardened critic chills.

How did you hear about Soulsational? What can we expect to see/hear at the festival, and what are you personally most looking forward to?

I heard about the festival via a friend.  I will be playing a mix of my original songs mixed with a couple covers as an acoustic trio.  I am looking forward to listening to all the other amazing talent on the bill that day.

How can people connect with you online? Do you have a website? Are you on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Bandcamp, Soundcloud, etc.?

I grew up in a big family of very animated and creative people.  That's definitely had a huge impact on me, as I've been involved in art and music since a very young age, and they've been my biggest supporters along the way.

How did you hear about Soulsational? What can we expect to see/hear at the festival, and what are you personally most looking forward to?

I actually played Soulsational with The Zombie Gospel back in 2014.  Everyone can expect to hear us play some new, old, and unreleased songs and probably sweat a lot along the way.  We're looking forward to sharing our music with festival-goers again and taking in all the music and activities offered by Soulsational.

My name is Joshua Van Ness, born in Somerville, NJ currently living in East Brunswick, NJ.  I am a singer/songwriter, guitarist and drummer.

What's your background? What would you like people to know about you & your work?

I've been making music since my teens.  I've been fortunate enough to tour this great country on several occasions.  While I really enjoying writing and recording, I truly live for performance.  I love being able to connect with people on some sort of intangible line or wave length even if it is just for a moment.

I call my music "soulrock."  My music tends to be of the rock/pop nature, but everything I do, I try to inject at least a hint of soul into it.

How did you hear about Soulsational? What can we expect to see/hear at the festival, and what are you personally most looking forward to?

I first heard of the Soulsational festival I think 3 summers ago.  This will be my second year in a row playing the festival.  Last year's event was just incredible!  Great live music, awesome food, a great mix of vendors, and a lot of cool activities for families.  I am really excited for this year's line up of performers.

How can people connect with you online? Do you have a website? Are you on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Bandcamp, Soundcloud, etc.?

I invite people to connect with me on Facebook.  (I use a personal page.  You can search "Joshua Van Ness," I will be the guy with the guitar and hat.)  You can also catch me on Instagram  www.instagram.com/Joshuavannessmusic or on Twitter www.twitter.com/joshuaJvanness.

How did you hear about Soulsational? What can we expect to see/hear at the festival, and what are you personally most looking forward to?

I have seen the posters around over the years for Soulsational.  It always seemed like a really cool festival.  I am glad they asked us to play this year!  I am looking forward to getting funky and making people dance, along with seeing some of my friends in the other groups playing.

HONEY SPOT BLVD to Perform at Soulsational Festival (July 29, 2017)

On July 29th from 11am to 8pm, Soulsational Festival will be celebrating music and wellness for its 7th year at Veterans Park in Bayville, NJ.  This free community event will feature "live music, local health and wellness businesses and practitioners, giveaways, a silent auction, and lots of opportunities to give back and unite the Jersey Shore community."  One of the event's live music acts is HONEY SPOT BLVD.  Enjoy this interview with Jessica Paris (Guitar / Vocals / Flute), below:

What's your name, where are you from, where are you based now, and what do you do?

My name is Jessica Paris, and I’m in Honey Spot Blvd.  We are based out of Hamilton, NJ.  I play guitar, flute, (sometimes drums) and sing.  Other members include Bill Wieszczek (guitar & vocals), Terry Crawford (bass), and Rusty DiPasquale (drums & vocals).  We play mostly originals with a few covers, and we have a domino addiction.  After we practice, we play at least 2 rounds of dominoes before we’re officially done for the night.

What's your background? What would you like people to know about you & your work?

The band has been together for 15 years.  We genuinely enjoy each others company.  We have 2 band CDs that range in style from rock, funk, pop and blues – we even have rap on our CDs.  Of course we’re not the one's rapping - that would be terrible and we would owe a lot of money back to people for trauma if that were the case.  Rusty’s son, Salvatore, is actually a really good rapper who makes the appearance on the CDs and even at our live shows.  We’re just a fun band with catchy tunes.

How did you hear about Soulsational? What can we expect to see/hear at the festival, and what are you personally most looking forward to?

The festival-goers are all super friendly.  A few of us carried around a “Free Hugs” sign.  Giving strangers genuine hugs, that human contact, was amazing.  And all the music between the Pavilion and the main stage was wonderful to listen to.  I discovered and followed a few people that I had never heard of until Soulsational.  I look forward to discovering more people and bands to follow!

On July 29th from 11am to 8pm, Soulsational Festival will be celebrating music and wellness for its 7th year at Veterans Park in Bayville, NJ.  This free community event will feature "live music, local health and wellness businesses and practitioners, giveaways, a silent auction, and lots of opportunities to give back and unite the Jersey Shore community."  One of the event's live music acts is singer-songwriter/recording artist KEITH EGAN.  Enjoy this interview with Keith, below:

What's your name, where are you from, where are you based now, and what do you do?

My name is Keith Egan, I'm from Tinton Falls, NJ, and I am a singer-songwriter/recording artist.

What's your background? What would you like people to know about you & your work?

I've been singing and playing guitar my whole life and making progress along the way.  After starting to play gigs at the age of 13, I've played more and larger shows and have written more songs than before, leading to the recording of my first EP titled, Come Along, and my album that came out July 14th, The Best Is Yet To Come.  I try to make positive music that's catchy and enjoyable for anyone and everyone.  My songwriting has developed a lot, and I'm excited to keep going with it.

How did you hear about Soulsational? What can we expect to see/hear at the festival, and what are you personally most looking forward to?

I heard about Soulsational last year through some of my friends that played the event and knew through their pitch of positivity and acceptance that it was something I wanted to be a part of.  I know the acts are going to be great from my experience hearing them, and I expect to hear a lot of uplifting and great songs from amazing artists.

How can people connect with you online? Do you have a website? Are you on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Bandcamp, Soundcloud, etc.?

I'm available on Facebook as Keith Egan Music, and people can find my brand new record and other previous projects by searching for me by name on iTunes, Spotify, Amazon Music, Bandcamp and more.  I'm also going to be launching my website this week.

JO MARIE & THE COMPANY to Perform at Soulsational Festival (July 29, 2017)

On July 29th from 11am to 8pm, Soulsational Festival will be celebrating music and wellness for its 7th year at Veterans Park in Bayville, NJ.  This free community event will feature "live music, local health and wellness businesses and practitioners, giveaways, a silent auction, and lots of opportunities to give back and unite the Jersey Shore community."  One of the event's live music acts is JO MARIE & THE COMPANY.  Enjoy this interview with vocalist Jo Marie, below:

What's your name, where are you from, where are you based now, and what do you do?

My name is Johnna Marie but I go by Jo, and I'm from Red Bank, NJ.  I am mostly known as a background vocalist for bands and artists like The Jody Joseph Band, Matthew Stephen and the Sweet ActionThe Taylor Tote Band, The Keith Egan Band, Revelation Band, RB3, Jeremy Adam (and more) and I am the lead vocalist for my band JO MARIE & THE COMPANY.  Additionally, I am a full time studio photographer, and I volunteer for Heartstrings Non-Profit.

What's your background? What would you like people to know about you & your work?

I work for the Jody Joseph Music Company as a junior instructor.  She was my mentor for 10 years, and now I have the pleasure of teaching others to do what I love!

I've been performing since the age of 7, and it all started with Jody Joseph Bongiovi.  From there, I went to college and was a performance major, and now I get to bring those skills to others both on and off stage.  I think my passion for performing is so deeply rooted because it began at such a young age, that when I teach it's like the spark lights up all over again!  Music is a beautiful and powerful healing agent for anyone, anywhere, anytime and giving that to someone is such a gift.

How did you hear about Soulsational? What can we expect to see/hear at the festival, and what are you personally most looking forward to?

I heard about Soulsational last summer when I was working as a promoter with Dave Mooney!  I met with Gina and was given a slot on the pavilion stage and it was such a fun time!  This year, my band (Julian Michalski of Pepperwine, Nick Ryan, Anthony Flora and Michael Squillace) are featured in SOULSTOCK - a flashback to Woodstock 69'.  All of our songs are going to be straight from the bands who played Woodstock that year (except for one surprise song).  I could not be more excited!  There's so many people on that original line-up that have influenced me as a performer - I can't wait to sing some of these songs for the first time!  We hit the field stage at 2:20 PM.  I'm also super excited to see some local friends on the pavilion stage as well.  It's going to be a good one!
