Arts Unbound Group Art Exhibit at Hat City Kitchen!

By Patricia Rogers

We say goodbye to Jennie Schaeffer's exhibit Red Carpet Icons and welcome one with more than one artist.  The ValleyArts powered art gallery in the dining room of Hat City Kitchen now shows an Arts Unbound group show.

Exhibiting artists include Tom Yezza, Florence Wint, Amy Charmantz, Tom Wade, Gregory Smith, Avary Waldron, Theda Sandiford, Anthony Zachares, David Wiley, NJ DeVico and Ida Ballard.  The pieces are a variety of content and mediums including digital, woodcut, acrylic on canvas, colored pencil, watercolor, mixed media and oil pastel.

I particularly enjoy group shows because it is a way to show you how vast art can be, different artists, their art and their method.  There is one that is particularly my favorite.  It is titled "Green, Blue, Purple" by Avary Waldron.  I was impressed by the technique of using gel pens.  So much so, I had to put it on hold.  The Arts Unbound show will be up until June 2016 so I can not take it home until then.  But I have already chosen a spot to hang it!

You can always view the pieces, and meet local artist, during the monthly artist salon event at Hat City Kitchen.  It is held the second Monday of the month from 6-8pm, where you can also enjoy extended happy hour specials.
