The Meatlocker: Jean Pool Tour Kick Off Show (Recap)

By Sean McCall

The night is Wednesday, June 1, 2016.  All the hip and happenin’ punk rock kids from the area of Montclair and around it met up at The Meatlocker to have a little punk rock rager to celebrate the kick off of Jean Pool’s tour.

The show consisted of four bands from New Jersey.

ManDancing

ManDancing recently released their first record called Everyone Else.  It was released January 26, 2016, and it’s available via bandcamp for free with the option to donate.  Their music is very raw and relaxing.  A lot of their record is acoustic with soft and emotional vocals.

LKFFCT

LKFFCT – New Jersey Indie Rock that tastes like Raw Sugar.  These guys are from Montclair, NJ, and they opened with the first song off of their most recent release from October of 2015, Cure-all.”  These guys put on a solid energetic and hype show, while still sounding very tight and together as a band. Their music gives me a very positive alternative punk vibe with catchy hooks and solid harmonies.
