Keepin’ the Family -
Debut EP Premieres June 22nd

PRESS RELEASE

On June 22, 2016 Keepin’ the Family will digitally release a debut EP.  The collection features five original songs, showcasing the band’s range from hometown folk to fire-on-all-pistons rock n’ roll. It pairs equally well with spontaneous road trips and solitary summer evenings. With this premiere, Keepin’ the Family calls you to out into the wild American night.

Keepin’ the Family are the new intrepids of highway music.  The group mixes the rootsy-soul of American rebel-tradition with intimate lyrics of love and youth.  Its sound is both rustic and electronic, a contradiction that reaches a new generation of searchers for antidotes to digital dystopia.

Reporter Bob Makin of The New Jersey Courier News recommends Keepin’ the Family as “a band to keep an eye on because I expect big things for them over the next year.”

Rising steadily in 2016, Keepin’ the Family has performed on diverse stages, including the Scarlet Pub and Court Tavern in New Brunswick, the WXPN World Café Live Philly, Pianos NYC, and The Living Room, Don Pedro, and the Cobra Club in Brooklyn.  The group continues to gain a word-of-mouth reputation, with upcoming dates at the Delancey, Leftfield on Ludlow, Roxy & Dukes in Dunellen, NJ, The Citizen in Jersey City, and Bourbon & Branch Philly.
