Artist Night at Grandsons Cafe

Thursday, May 12th

Event Flier by Ken Casal

By Alex Bradley

If you’re not from the South Jersey area, you are most likely unaware of all of the talented artists that call our state "home."  We have a number of painters, writers, photographers, and musicians, just to name a few.  New Jersey’s, and South Jersey’s specifically for this instance, music scene is alive and well.  Many young, skillful, and passionate individuals get to express themselves in the only way they know how to on a fairly consistent basis.  Regardless of genre, experience, and what have you, there will always be a place for them to play. There will also always be show-goers to support them, and to further fuel their drive.  One thing that I have personally noticed about South Jersey, however, is that there are not many ways for those involved in the other various art forms to present the work that they have created with just as much love and intensity, as often as musicians.  That is why this upcoming event is so important.

On Thursday, May 12th at Grandsons cafe in Hammonton, there will be a night for the artists.  An important fact to note is that this event will be free, and many different media of art will be on display, including, but not limited to, photography, drawings, paintings, fine handmade crafts, and much more. This is the second "Artist Night" to be put on by Grandaire Booking, which is a company that hosts numerous concerts and other events, and is also based in Hammonton, New Jersey.  With their experience in booking musical acts, Grandaire Booking is including acoustic artists to play through the night as well for aural enjoyment, and to help bring out more people to the cafe for the event.

If you have art to display or even music to perform, it is still possible for you to be involved in this special night.  If you are interested, you can sign up through their Facebook event (https://www.facebook.com/events/1607398212917065/) - or by calling (609) 878 3464
